Each spoon has been coated with "spoon butter", in this case a mixture of beeswax and mineral oil. This can be reapplied every so often, when you notice your spoon looking dry. You can purchase this online or make your own by melting 1 part beeswax and 2 parts mineral oil, by weight. Pour into a jar and let cool. Apply by hand, massaging in, and wipe excess off with a soft cloth.
Hand wash your spoon and dry with a towel. Never soak your spoons.
